The softest of soft openings of the Lucky Cat DTLA art gallery was a lovely time.
We took the storage room in the back of Lucky Cat DTLA from "junk storage" to "speakeasy" in two days, and even had time to make an art out of construction scraps for the main space! I’m pretty proud of my Lumber River, but Timothy Casebolt’s brilliant two-by-four fireplace takes the cake.
Really grateful for our DJ and sign painter extraordinaire Fernando Ocampo, who gave the lounge such a vibe with flawless vinyl tunes all night long. And big thanks to everyone who came out — first to check the space out on Art Night, and then on Saturday for Timothy’s birthday pizza and drinks.
I can't wait to watch this place evolve over the coming year…
